We have all entered competitions and then crossed our fingers for several weeks or even months, just to find out that someone else won. However, this is not the case for 68-year old Betty Robbs - she seems to win whatever competition she enters. While she has been named the luckiest woman in Britain, we believe she is the luckiest woman in the World.
It all began in 1977, after Betty won her first competition and received some exercise equipment - she was hooked! When a friend guided her to a magazine that was filled with competitions and techniques about how to win them, there was no stopping Betty.
Before the year was out, she had won three more competitions and it hasn't stopped since. Over the years, she has won thousands of pounds in cash prizes, a new car, a dishwasher, a DVD player and many toys and books. In addition, she has won several free trips including a safari to Kenya, Africa and weekends in Paris and London. She has been hot-air ballooning and even off-road car racing at the age of 60.
Betty who attributes her wins to LUCK - Labor, Unceasing Care and Keenness - loves going to the grocery stores where she is always scouting for competitions. On nights she can't sleep, she fills her time by going through magazines for competitions to enter. She believes competitions have gotten easier over the years - before you had to come up with catchy slogans to enter - nowadays all it takes is a name and address and just a little bit of LUCK! We sure hope her lucky streak continues for many many more years.
