Two chefs in Scotland may have flipped their way into the Guinness Book of World Records, by cooking up a 29.5 inch (75cm) stack of pancakes - one centimeter higher than what is currently in the record books.
Sean McGinlay and Natalie King, who work at the Hilton Grosvenor hotel in Glasgow , started with a batter that consisted of 100 eggs, about 3 gallons of milk, 11 lbs of flour and 6.5 lbs of butter.
They then set about making and stacking each pancake on top of each other - 672 in all. It took them a whopping 22 hours to complete the entire stack, and a lot more hours earlier in the week, perfecting the recipe and stacking process.
Despite all the preparation, the stack looked a little shaky at the end - but they prevailed and managed to get measurements and lots of great pictures before allowing it to all collapse!
Now they just hope all this work will pay off and are keeping their fingers crossed that the folks at Guinness will confirm their record - No word on how the pancakes tasted!
