Beginning today, visitors to Beijing, China will be allowed to enter a magical world - one where every nook and cranny is emitting the sweet smell of chocolate. Welcome to Beijing's Chocolate Wonderland.

Located on the north side of Beijing's famous Bird's Nest Olympic Stadium, the park covers almost 20,000 sq. meters comprising of five indoor areas, which include World Chocolate Hall, World Candy Hall, Wonderland Theme Hall and Sweet Experience Hall, all bursting with delectable chocolate and candy creations. The theme park also has two outdoor activity areas.

Exquisite Chinese sculptures and artifacts have been carved from 80 metric tons of chocolate imported from Belgium. Also made from pure chocolate is a 10-meter replica of the Great Wall of China, life-like albeit brown, waterfalls, cars, motorcycles, traditional Chinese costumes, Ming replica vases and even famous paintings!

Visitors will not only be treated to demonstrations from chocolate makers, but will also be able to make their own chocolate concoctions. There will also be an exhibition of chocolate and candies from all over the world and of course, lots and lots of tasters!

The park was created to promote chocolate to the people of China, who are not as crazy about the cocoa concoction as some of us are. The organizers expect to attract over one million people between now and April, when it will be taken apart, before the warm spring weather turns it into a big bowl of hot chocolate! YUMMMMM!
