All French extreme skier Matthias Giraud had planned for the morning of April 25th, was a run down a slope in the French Alps to build up the speed he needed for a parachute-assisted jump off one of the cliffs.

He did all that and more! His movements instigated a terrifying avalanche that followed him all the way down. Luckily for him and us, his friend Stefan Laude a local paraglider and speedflyer, managed to capture the entire scene on tape.
