Herstory: 50 Women and Girls Who Shook Up the World. This was a great book. It talks about all these women and girls, who did many things for good, not for fame or something like that. All good. In history, women were discriminated, with not many rights, and stereotyped as weak, timid, and other qualities most people nowadays wouldn't approve of. The artwork is amazing, with lots of captions and pictures. I rate this 4 out of 5 stars.Over 5 years agodizzyjelly added a book review.

Geography is one of my favorite subjects! When I read this, I really liked it. But since this book isn't a narrative, I didn't go in order. I did something like: Thailand. Iceland. Indonesia. Norway. Well, okay. This book is about geography of the world, all the continents, all the countries. In each page, you learn about a countries' population, religions, languages, 5 cool things to do there, the capital, the currency, and a whole lot of others, plus a bunch of maps. This book is perfect for a geography lover. it would help you learn all about the world. I rate this book 3 stars and a half, out of 5, even though I can only have a whole number rating.Over 5 years agodizzyjelly added a book review.

I read this book because I really like the Geronimo Stilton series. In this book, it is springtime, and Geronimo has to come up with a new idea of a book to write. But you can't just write a book on command, right? Geronimo was hit with a writer's block. He couldn't think. He ended up biking on the countryside, where he came across the Stilton Family Farm. H got nostalgic for all his memories there, and decided to buy it... Right before a mysterious lady in a leopard limousine could. Who was that? Anyways, he told his family & friends at the Rodent's Gazette. They loved it, and moved in with Geronimo. By winter, they were finished renovating the farm. They took 3 seasons! Ack! One day, Geronimo went for a walk, and found a tree nobody had seen in like. a 100 years! He told his family. Then, Geronimo got a text: "You took the farm from me. Now keep your paws off the tree." Or something like that. I can't tell you the rest, but here's a hint: AUCTION. And I rate this 4 out of 5 stars.Almost 6 years agodizzyjelly has read this book.

I decided to read this book... Because I was really bored. You'd expect me to already have read the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus to want to read that book. Nope. I was bored. I was planning on skimming through the whole book, and when I found an interesting looking chapter, but I ended up reading the whole thing. In this book, join Percy on a tour through the history of the Greek Gods, Titans, and some demigods and humans. Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, Zeus, Athena, Aphrodite, Artemis, Persephone, Ares, Hephaestus, Dionysus, and Hermes. Each of them have a really great or really bad personality, and it'll probably lead you to reading more Greek mythology, which will lead you to reading about Egyptian or Roman or Persian r whatever mythology, which'll probably lead you to getting a mythology encyclopedia. But I recommend this to... everyone, and I rate this a good 4 out of 5 starsAlmost 6 years agodizzyjelly added a book review.
This is a really good book! In Crenshaw, 5th grade Jackson reunites with his old imaginary friend, Crenshaw, a huge kitten with big green eyes and a like for purple jellybeans, just like Jackson, who first met Jackson when he finished 1st grade. Now, a 5th grader, Crenshaw is spotted surfing on the beach, holding up an umbrella. That's really not the point of surfing. Later, When Jackson sees Crenshaw taking a bath, he's like- What are you doing here? This is what Jackson learns from Crenshaw: Imaginary friends are always with their real friends, They're just waiting for the right time to come back, assuming there is. It's like they're just sitting on a couch, waiting for the phone to ring. It rang. (That was kind of a metaphor, I don't know. Plus, I'm not even up to that part yet. I skipped.)Almost 6 years ago
